About OUBT Consulting
At OUBT Consulting, we work with biotech and pharma companies to develop their reach and maximise their potential. Our teams, composed of PhD and MBA students from the University of Oxford, provide strategic and technical advice on an agreed project. Our graduate students have expertise in their scientific field, including clinical trials.
Additionally, we provide graduate students with the opportunity to work in dynamic teams and get additional consulting experience. It’s an opportunity to develop their critical thinking in a friendly environment. “Working with Oxford University Biotech Society has been incredibly rewarding. The project has provided valuable information in line with our request, and the team have shown real depth of knowledge and understanding. We have been impressed by their skillset, specifically the motivation and enthusiasm with which they have approached all aspects of the project. Presentations have been prepared to a very high standard, delivered with precision and passion. Discussion points were successfully debated and clearly demonstrated a thorough and well-researched review of the specific field of study. Most definitely the entrepreneurs of the future. Congratulations to the entire team.“
“We were delighted to work with the consultancy team from the Oxford University Biotech Society (OUBT) on an independent assessment of Seroxo’s LIT™ platform. Their work was exceptional in both scientific and commercial dimensions. The team demonstrated a deep understanding of the underlying immunology and clinical context, carefully evaluating LIT™’s potential applications in areas such as infection and sepsis monitoring, transplant medicine optimisation, and inflammatory disease monitoring. At the same time, they brought a highly professional business perspective, clearly analysing the technology’s market potential, adoption pathways, and strategic positioning. The quality of their research, analytical rigor, and clarity of communication were outstanding throughout the project. They were responsive, collaborative, and consistently delivered thoughtful insights that have strengthened our scientific and commercial strategies. We would highly recommend their services to any organisation seeking rigorous scientific evaluation combined with strong commercial and strategic analysis. They were also just a great team to work with!“
“Working with the OUBT Consulting team was a real pleasure. They were professional, curious, and highly capable, delivering a thoughtful and well-researched report that has already generated valuable conversations and interest across our network. The quality of their work and the collaboration throughout were excellent, and we would not hesitate to work with them again!”
“As a very early-stage company, it’s not always easy to open up about what you’re building (especially not in bio/medtech). The OUBT team approached us with real curiosity and a structured mindset, which made the conversations both easy and rewarding. It’s refreshing to see how seriously they take biotech and company building at all stages. Overall, a positive experience for us! We’re excited to see what the team goes on to do. This sort of student input is often uniquely creative and brings perspectives you don’t get elsewhere.“
